DX51D GI Corrugated Roofing Sheet

DX51D GI Corrugated Roofing Sheet, compliant with EN 10346 standards, is a hot-dip galvanized steel with zinc coating (30–275 g/m²) for superior corrosion resistance. It features a minimum yield strength of 140 MPa, tensile strength of 270–410 MPa, and 18–30% elongation. Ideal for roofing, wall cladding, and agricultural buildings, it offers customizable thickness (0.12–2.0 mm), width, and corrugation profiles, balancing durability, formability, and cost-efficiency for harsh outdoor environments.

1. GI Roofing Steel Sheet introduction
It is a plain carbon steel sheet coated in a galvanizing process that applies a barrier of zinc to insulate it from the elements. Most of the corrugated roofing and siding products seen todayand for many years past are made with a galvanized finish.

2. GI Roofing Steel Sheet application scope
It is most commonly used for commercial, agricultural, and industrial purposes, however, it is now also being recognized as an excellent form of residential roofing.

3. GI Roofing Steel Sheet advantages compared with normal one
A normal steel sheet will rust almost immediately, but galvanizing will protect the steel. This galvanized, eltro-coated, hot-dipped process produces a silvery look or spangled finish. As
a standard, several of our industrial metal siding, metal roofing, metal decking, corrugated metal panels and accessories are made in galvanized steel.

4. GI Roofing Steel Sheet technical processing
Hot rolled steel coil -->Cold rolled- >hot dipped galvanized/ galvalume- > corrugated-->packing.

Product Details

GI roofing sheet is short for galvanized steel roofing sheet. It is profiled with galvanized steel sheet for roofing purposes, which has been coated with zinc. The zinc coating provides the base steel protection from moisture and oxygen. According to the galvanizing process, it can be divided into hot-dip galvanized and electro-galvanized steel sheets.

The corrugated design will improve its strength so that it can withstand harsh weather conditions. The common design includes wavy shape, trapezoidal design, ribbed galvanized roof sheets, etc. It can be used as a single-layer sheet, cladding over an existing roof, or steel sandwich panels.

Product Introduction

Advantage

Sturdy and Durable - Galvanized steel roofing sheets are made of quality hot-dipped galvanized sheets. They combine steel strength and protective zinc coating. This makes it long-lasting and can withstand extreme weather conditions. The long service life and great strength are the primary reasons why they are popular among homeowners and investors.

Affordable Cost - Galvanized steel roofing sheet itself is more cost-effective than traditional roofing materials. Besides, it is lightweight, which makes it easy and quick to install. Also, it is durable and recyclable and requires less maintenance. All these factors make GI roofing sheets an economical option.

Aesthetic Appearance - Galvanized steel roofing sheet has a shiny and smooth surface. The corrugated design also looks brilliant from the outside. Besides, it has good adhesion so you paint it in different colors. Having a galvanized steel roof can easily serve an aesthetic purpose.

Fire-Resistant Feature - Steel is a non-combustible and fire-resistant material. In addition, it is light in weight. Its lighter weight also makes it safe when there is a fire.

Types of Galvanized Steel Roofing Sheet

• Hot-dip Galvanized Steel Sheet

Hot-dip galvanized steel is made by immersing the steel sheet in a molten zinc bath at about 500 °C to attach a zinc layer to the surface. This is the continuous galvanizing process. It will form a protective zinc layer on the surface so that it has good paint adhesion and weldability. It is the most widely used and cost-effective method to prolong the service life of steel sheets.

• Electro-galvanized Steel Sheet

Electro-galvanizing, also known as cold galvanizing, uses electrolysis to form a uniform and dense layer on the surface of the metal. The anti-corrosion zinc layer can protect steel parts from oxidation corrosion. Also, it can meet decorative purposes. But the zinc layer of the electro-galvanizing steel sheet is only 5-30 g/m2. So its corrosion resistance is not as good as hot-dip galvanized sheets.

Quality Control

We have our own Physical & Chemical Testing Center Lab to guarantee our product quality. Our test items & instrument fully meet international standards.

Applications

Galvanized roofing steel sheet offers great corrosion resistance and a long lifespan. So it is widely used for industrial, commercial, residential, and agricultural purposes. Its wide applications include makeshift houses, garages, greenhouses, warehouses, barns, stables, sheds, factory plants, commercial buildings, etc.
